High-fived the idea that we are all essayists. What a lovely departure from the school essay that says nothing and serves no one. Go write! You are unstoppable.
The thing that is on my to try-harder is to push through to the other side on the Banjo. As I’ve gotten older I’ve pruned out many old goals (like learning the Guang Dao Kung Fu form) but when life settles down hopefully with the new year I want start playing again.
And good luck with NaNoWriMo! I need to find the old word document that I slammed out in 2003. I might be fun to relive that wild stream of consciousness rampage that blurted out on for 30 days describing the random stuff in my little 168 SF garage apartment. Can’t say it was a story, but it was 50k words!
The banjo! Now I know why you like Bela Fleck (call back to an old note exchange we had here). I tried guitar. I suppose that means I might try again. Thank you for the encouragement. I have an inkling that I will finish writing this thing, but what happens after that... The end of that story has not yet been written. Thank you for the read!
Haha yes! I don't specifically pursue the banjo on Youtube, but I listen to a lot of folk and jazz on there. He's such a virtuoso though! It's basically a different instrument. I'm just trying to plink out a few old tunes using the simple clawhammer technique.
I just finished a fictionalized version (As in names have been changed) account of the house my husband and I were told we could live in, when we moved from New Orleans to Chicago (he's from Chicago originally) 23 years ago. We were told the house was perfectly ok to live in. We lasted less than 48 hours. I'm going to let it sit for a few days, run it through Pro Writing Aid and then start submitting it to various places.

I appreciate your comment and your encouragement!
Thank you for the gentle reminder to try again
What else is there to do, right? I appreciate your read and comment!
