How an unexpected contact, a new relationship, and a day full of art and connection led to the opportunity to send 25+ skeins of yarn and a dozen crochet hooks from Boston to Uganda
Thank you so much for reading! By the way, I watched your YouTube video on "Are You Too Old..." Wow, man. So much in that video. The ups and downs of trying to get a big break! And, big props to you for sharing your personal story. I really feel like it's when we can talk about the hardest parts of life that we not only move ourselves forward but we uplift everyone else who witnesses and listens.
Wow. Now that takes a special kind of person. Your "funny nonsense" is a perfect package to deliver "simple but profound wisdom." Keep doing your thing!
This was such a lovely read, and it's wonderful to see the unexpected path led you to such a great place! Knitting and crochet have such power to bring us together and teach skills that'll carry us through a lifetime. I know my readers will love seeing your essay, so I've shared this with them in my Thursday post.
Nice read. I’m glad there are people doing good in this world

Thank you. <3
I try to be part of the collective “our better angels” as best I can and spread hope and resilience (and a lot of funny nonsense… and art :D)
My wife is a gem too, as she’s a palliative care physician and works with old grizzled ailing vets to have a better quality of life, at end of life.
