Happy New Year’s Day greetings!
While it is January 1, 2024, it’s also just another day. And, therefore, just like any other day, we - you and I - have the opportunity for a fresh start.
My fresh start today includes setting an intention to fuel and maintain a few daily habits:
draw something daily - for inspiration, visit Kelcey Ervick’s post from today at
.read something daily - I’ve joined Simon Haisell of
to read War & Peace and Wolf Hall. Are you reading along?keep a five-year, one-line-a-day journal. I haven’t done this before. I keep a somewhat daily journal, but I like the brevity of one line.
make daily movement a priority whether it’s a walk, a set of Sun Salutations, a run or a swim.
It’s still the Year of the Rabbit (til Feb 9, 2024), so here is a sweet rabbit I drew recently for your enjoyment in celebration of my renewed daily drawing habit.
May you have all of the health and happiness in the world! We - you and I - we all deserve it.
Emily
Thanks for the shout-out! And I may have to join the Wolf Hall reading club!
That's an awesome bunny! As for your daily habits, it's interesting how similar mine matches yours. I had "pick up the pen and exercise" every day. And I could have easily gone with read something daily.
Feels like there is there a #midlifeStack cohort all sipping out of the same bowl of Kool Aid infused La Croix.
